Well, got my R4 yesterday, and here I am, opening the box. Well, it's more of a quick tutorial on how to get an R4 working and some stuff I have on there already. This is mostly for Reflect Games, not really meant to be one of the MANY different videos of opening the R4 box, even though I grabbed the MicroSD to USB thing first.

The map that is being played is a custom map created by me about 10 years ago, with design help from a friend.
I'm very surprised they got Quake 2 playable on the DS. Pretty cool!

Here's a mini-tutorial on how to install Quake DS, a port of Quake 1 to the Nintendo DS, on a Datel Games n' Music cart. I use the shareware Quake, which only has the first level, but you can use the pak file from the full version if you have it.

This build has been improved on and is outdated, but sadly I don't have a camera anymore.
You can see that models are textured etc.
Sound was recorded using line in, so its like it would sound with headphones

Quake2 on the DS

This is Quake2's software renderer running on the DS. It's totally unoptimised for the hardware, so this is more of a proof of concept.
This is exactly the same speed that Quake1 gave me when I first ran it on the DS :-)
